Since coming to Congress, I have engaged in an extensive effort to seek the opinions of the leaders in the Western New York health care community, local small businesses, seniors and families about what we need to do to achieve real reform. Western New Yorkers want to see real reforms, the overwhelming majority does not want the costly government takeover of our health care system that Democratic leaders in Congress have proposed.(Congressman Lee speaks with area doctors and patients about health care reform)
Of course, we can't just leave things the way they are. Our nation's health care system is broken. Too many Americans either don't have access to health insurance or can't afford the coverage they do have.My Health Care Plan
I am a co-sponsor of H.R. 3970, the Medical Rights and Reform Act, which implements real reforms to ensure better, more affordable health care is available for all Americans. The Medical Rights and Reform Act achieves these goals without raising taxes, adding to the budget deficit, or having the federal government take over the system.
This proposal contains a number of great ideas to reduce costs and improve outcomes to learn more on H.R. 3970 please click HERE.
I want to hear your thoughts on this important issue. Please take this opportunity to weigh in on the health care reform debate either by filling out the poll to the right or please click on the contact Chris icon.
